The title of the exhibition and the book published by Perceval Press references the early inspiration of Jack Kerouac on photographer Michael Hyatt. On the Road and At the Crossroads and the exhibition features photographs of X from 1980 to 2025. Hyatt traveled with X as photographer during the band’s first tour in December 1980, continued during two other early tours and documented X during four shows in Texas in 2025. Exhibition photographs include group and solo portraits, performance shots and behind-the-scenes candid images. The book forward, by Chris Morris, was also inspired by Jack Kerouac’s On the Road.
